In the therapy with Brock and BJ's therapist, it seemed like they weren't really over each other. Just from what they said, especially Reba. If she was REALLY over him, Him being around wouldn't bother her and keep reminding her of all the great times they had when they were still together. They both said, there is a door. There isn't a door if you are over someone.
shareI always wondered if it was an idea (in the beginning) that the two of them would get back together. There were a lot of hints along the way that they were leaning toward that resolution: Reba yelling at him in the pilot that they were supposed to grow old together, Brock telling Reba he would be sorry forever, when he's on anti-depressants he admits that he made a mistake and hints that he wants her back, in therapy he says the same thing and clams up when BJ walks in. I was kind of surprised (with all the hints) that they didn't go in that direction and reconciled BJ and Brock instead.
shareWell, I have almost every season on DVD (season 6 is in the mail. haha) and the writers or directors said, that, if they put reba and brock back together, that'd kinda ruin the whole dynamic of the show and that there would be no reason for BJ, thats why they didn't make it happen.

I think up until Barbara Jean getting pregnant, they probably could have worked it out and gotten back together. I think Brock did love BJ in a fashion, but I always get the impression he feels he has to now--he wrecked his first marriage over her, and even if he's sorry for it and wishes he could go back, BJ being pregnant was probably the final straw that Reba couldn't accept.
I often think if BJ hadn't been pregnant, Brock and Reba would have worked things out and gotten back together.
Brock didn't show Barbra Jean actual affection all that often. (The final episode is an exception -- but that was Rich and Peterman saying they love each other.)
shareI totally ship Reba and Brock. They really loved each other. I wish Brock would have gone back to her and not Barbara Jean when he and BJ were split :(
shareIn the first seasons it seemed like that, but after BJ kicked him out it seemed he and BJ were more into each other and Reba and Brock worked better as best friends. Of course there was still things I didn't like about the relationship, like some lines about Brock respecting his ex wife more than his wife.

Reba and Brock did seem to have more chemistry than Brock and BJ, but I think the ending was fine. Brock didn't seem over Reba, but Reba, though she obviously still cared for Brock, obviously didn't love him in the same way anymore.

I think they still harbored feelings for one another and always would. I also think Brock loved BJ, but in many ways, Reba knew him better than BJ did, better than he knew himself. That's why he could never put any distances between them.
shareWell, the first part of that sentence isn't saying much. BJ was too self-absorbed to know much about anyone else.
