Was this a David the Gnome episode?

I have a hazy memory of an episode where David was brought in to see a child who was very sick from something. The only way for David to cure the child was to get a rare plant from a small island in the middle of a lake. The only problem was that this island was inhabited by some kind of deadly serpent.

Was this actually an episode of David the Gnome or is my memory playing tricks on me? If so, what was the name of this episode?

Yes, this is a true episode. To be honest, I can't remember the name of it offhand, but I have it somewhere.

The name of the episode is called "David to the Rescue." I have it on DVD.

I remember that. A little gnome girl became ill after eating berries that had been sprayed with pesticides. After she recovered, David told her, "Only what Mommy puts on the table is safe to eat."
