Can anybody tell me what some of the songs were in The Cazalets? I know there was a french version of 'Somewhere Beyond the Sea', but that's about as far as my knowledge stretches. And is the theme an actual song, or was it written for the series?

The theme is an actual piece called "The Very Thought of You" and you can find several versions on iTunes, at least. Another song is "Just One of Those Things," a version of which is on the De-Lovely soundtrack.
