Ryan Reynolds didn't like this movie?

I've heard that he didn't really like doing this film, or otherwise playing this character. I was surprised to hear that, because he plays Van very well.

You are forgetting about the new Amityville Horror. That was a pretty serious role

O' Doyle RULES!!!

He did that action film "Smokin Aces" and I was extremely impressed with his ability to act.

He also did an independent called "The Nines", a sort of psychological thriller, in which is does a very respectable job.

After seeing those films I gained a new respect for Reynolds. He really isn't just a one character comedian, but actually a multi-talented actor. Who would of known. You'd think he would of liked doing Van Wilder though...it's a fun little movie, and it got him mass exposure I believe. Ah well.

i've never heard him diss the movie in any interview i saw him in.

in one interview i saw from 2003 when he was promoting his canadian movie "foolproof" on a canadian entertainment show (movie television) he said he loved doing van wilder and it had been very good to him but he wanted to move on from that now and do other things.

he was great on that cheesy show called "Fifteen" way back when

If you guys like Ryan, you should deffinitely watch "Fireflies in the Garden". That movie has amazing acting from Ryan, and everyone else in it.

I doubt he doesn't like this movie, considering he seems to be playing himself.

Yeah, I couldn't believe it when I read this on the IMDb Trivia page...

Ryan Reynolds only saw a rough cut of the film before it came out. He hasn't seen the film since.

Dunno if that means he didn't like it, but it's still odd to me.

Reynolds was a nobody when this film came out. Why would he hate it?
