Question About Book...
In the book when Mae and Angus/Tuck come back to Treegap and find Winnie's headstone, they stop and ask someone what had happened to the wood and the tree that was with the everlasting spring.
A man responds saying the tree was split in two by lightning, and they tore it down.
Wouldn't the tree absorb the water and not be able to die, get split in two, or get taken down?
