I saw this film a few years ago, I recall Tuck holding the girl by the river in his arms and kissing her when she ran away, then the camera pans away, did the kids have sex?

What part are you talking about? I don't rember any scenes with Tuck kissing someone... did you mean Miles or Jesse?

I think you're forgetting the movie. :) It was Jesse and Winnie, not Tuck and Winnie - awkward! But yeah, the camera never pans away. Jesse tells her about the spring and then Miles tells her his sad story after they kiss. No panning there. :)
