Who was Christopher Dante?

When Ben first met him at Madison's house, I thought he was mentally challenged, but later he was driving and doing other things with no problem. Was he supposed to be Madison's brother, or a house guest?

He was her cousin, she was staying with his family.

I don't think he's mentally challenged, perhaps like Asperger's or something, maybe he was just very socially awkward. I think he was her cousin.
