I disagree that this is an unrealistic movie.
This is a little bit of a stretch, but I actually had something similar to this movie happen to me just this past summer.
I'm a 25 year old swimmer, and I spent most of my summer evenings in my neighbor's very large inground pool. I did that because I prefer swimming in their pool in my neighborhood as opposed to having to drive almost an hour to the next nearest pool large enough to swim laps.
Anyways, I'm in Illinois, and I have a girl in New York in medical school, so I wasn't around her every single day this summer obviously. And to summarize what happened, there was this neighborhood girl (not in the same house as the one who had this pool), and she was absolutely obsessed with being around me while I was swimming. She was a nice girl to talk to at first, and I never thought anything more of her than that. Once she found out I was a swimmer though, she went into full crazy mode. She would say how hot and sexy I looked when she saw me in my speedos, which wasn't difficult since the pool didn't have a very high fence. But she never stopped there; she kept saying all the things she wanted to do to me....I'll leave that to your imagination. She kept trying to tempt me with all types of things. She did everything short of getting into the pool with me like in the movie. It was crazy to say the least. I always tried to keep my cool and concentrate on swimming.
BUT unlike the movie, it never became anything violent or sexual with this girl. I never touched her at all, even with all the temptation. I didn't touch her because I love my girlfriend that much, and also because this girl who was infatuated with me looked like a beached whale in a bathing suit compared to my girl.
So again, not exactly like the movie, but it shows that there are pyscho girls out there who do those types of things to the male swimmers out there.
