Really disgusted with the ending.
He just let her drown, when he could have jumped in after resuscitating his girlfriend and saved her? I know she was a crazy bitch, but she was a human being, too. And mentally ill at that.

shareMadison was a serial killer! She killed her first boyfriend (basically!), killed Josh, tried to kill an innocent patient to frame Ben.
She had assaulted his mom, then tried to kill BEN & HIS GIRLFRIEND. She'd been arrested yet SHOT & KILLED TWO COPS.
Yeah, there was no 'fixing' her. No doctor was going to magically cure her. She would have died by lethal injection anyway. She wasn't legally insane, she knew what she was doing was wrong she just didn't care.
"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."
Same as in fatal attraction, it was basically murder not self defense. Hollywood vs law. What's surprising is the popular opinion that it is somehow ok to kill if its justified.
shareI mean he was giving CPR to Amy.. it was sort of save one or the other and he's obviously going to pick his girlfriend over Madison since he got Amy in the whole mess to begin with. Amy almost died.. And who knows what Madison would have done if he tried to save her.
But I do remember seeing this in theatres when I was younger and leaving the theatre with a really uneasy feeling.. The ending wasn't exactly satisfying for anyone. Yeah, Ben and Amy got back together, but you could tell from the looks on their faces in the last scene that they would never be the same again and his swimming career was over.
Letting her live might have cost him. She was a killer, remember?
