A meth-cinema masterpiece

I've read reviews of people saying how pointless this movie is, on how it lacked depth. But I think some people are just overthinking it. This film doesn't have to contain a super deep meaning. It's a story simply about a group of meth addicts living a crazy, chaotic, and self-destructive lifestyle. And I must say, from my experience associating with meth users, this film was actually quite spot on in how it depicted them and their behavior. Probably one of the most accurate meth addict portrayals I've ever seen in a film. Definitely more believable than Breaking Bad. This film also has a lot of hilarious moments, great editing, cinematography, great soundtrack, and an amazing cast. The problem is, seeing that this is a film about drug addiction, I think a lot of people are expecting this film to be dramatic and serious. Which don't get me wrong, despite all the crazy and funny moments throughout the film, there's still a dark undertone within the story. Spun is definitely no Requiem for a Dream. It has a completely different atmosphere than your typical drug-film. It doesn't take itself too seriously, and yet, still manages to be thought provoking and dark. If that makes sense. I consider this film 'a meth-cinema masterpiece'. It's truly an unforgettable movie watching experience.
