What really anoyed me. Bad guys were right.
There are many things wrong with this movie, but the whole premise is what really anoyed me.
The "villans" in this movie essentially wanted to make a hockey version of the Harlem Globetrotters. The former Chiefs were going to play the part of the patsies: the Washington Generals (or as the movie called them, the Washington Nationals). Regardless of whether or not something like that would work in the real world, I at least thought it was a novel idea.
I was annoyed with all the complaining from the players on the patsy team about losing all the time and not playing real hockey. If you want to play real hockey, join a real hockey team in a real hockey league. Your job here is pure entertainment, so SHUT UP AND MAKE US LAUGH, CLOWNS!
Do you think the players on the Washington Generals ever complain about getting humiliated by the Globetrotters?
It reminded of the South Park episode were the Civil War re-enactors who played the South got tired of losing all the time, except that South Park was joking and Slap Shot 2 took it seriously.
Everything else about the movie was forgetable.
