Didnt that girl die? (spoilers)

Can someone please explain to me how Pyke "the dyke" is shown dead in the snow with a hole in her head and her eyes open staring at Cole...

Then she comes in the end and saves him, shotgunning the killer to hell.

I mean, I wasn't expecting a cinematic masterpiece, but I was very confused about that part..

Please enlighten me. Thanks.

I was wondering the same thing. There's a rather large hole in the side of her head.

How does she come back?

She must have been hard headed I guess. That surprised me too near the end that she was still alive. You know movies though, anything is possible.

Yes I thought she was dead....I guess it was the GIANT hole in her head that threw me off!
More important Was she gay? Will her and Cole have a love affair?
And will there be a shredder 2?

Scalp wounds are known to bleed out of all proportion to the actual damage done, so a relatively minor head wound can look horrific (she also had a cap on, obscuring the wound).

It's also not unknown for someone to be unconscious with eyes open.
