sharei need the english subtitles to this movie as well, someone should post a link if anyone knows where to find them.
shareThe DVD was released in Italy with only Italian subtitles. Somebody threw these italian subs through a translation machine and got some really bad English subs. I tried to rework them, but I've only had 1 semester of Italian about 14 years ago so it's not easy.
In any case, I got about halfway through the film and decided I would stop and just watch the rest of the film with the crappy english subs. Well it turned out that I didn't quite understand something at the end of the film. So this made me put aside translating the film. That was 5 months ago. Maybe I'll take it up again.
So McAdams speaks Italian in the film, or is her dialogue dubbed into Italian by another actress?
shareShe plays an american who goes to Italy to study art. The first half of the film is in Italy, the second part in America. While she is in Italy, Rachel speaks english with a girlfriend and then speaks some italian when she talks to Tanino. She really speaks Italian (with a north american accent). Her voice is not dubbed.

...but until then i have begun the difficult task of learning italian ha this should be fun.
Okay, I took back to doing the subs. As of now, I have gone up to 37 minutes in the film. The film is 1 hour and 45 minutes, so there is still a lot of work to go. It'll probably take me another 4 or 5 weeks to finish.
In the meanwhile, if you want 37 minutes of decent subs (plus the rest poorly subtitled), I can give you what I've got right now, and then the final version later. Or perhaps you'd rather wait.
By the way, congrats for deciding to learn Italian. I'm sure you'll find it worthwhile.

And one question is it true that Rachel has a nude scene in it :)
Okay, I did 3 or 4 more minutes tonight, though a lot of it was english dialogue.
And yes, Rachel does appear topless in the film, but it goes with the story and it's mostly fleeting. You see her topless from a distance on the beach for a second, and then in the water, but the water mostly covers her breasts. Then there is a flashback scene later and you get to see her breasts under the water for a couple of seconds. Again this is an integral part of the film.

I am glad that my rumor was true, after reading your post I found few screencaps and I am now happy :D But to see it in motion is even better, my search for the movie continues.

I really like Rachel mcadams. She is definately on the path to being an amazing actress.
The subtitles you coded are perfect. I can't wait to see this....7.1 on imdb which is really high, and an italian film (i really loved cinema paradiso) plus rachem mcadams....i hope this film lives up to its rating.
I'm glad you liked the subtitles. However, last night I did find that there was an overlapping error in the subtitles, and so I fixed it and made couple of other minor changes. The link above has now been updated for the new corrected subtitle file.
And yes, Rachel is a very talented actress. She's gone from a secondary role in Mean Girls to becoming one of the top actresses in Hollywood.
What do I have to do to get this to work? First off I need to get the movie obviously, which I dont have yet. But then what? And what program do I use to open the file?
Also if you guys would like to know when it becomes available for distribution in the US, go to Amazon.com and they have it there but it says its not available yet. It says to make a free account and type your e-mail address on the right in the box provided and they will notify you via e-mail when it is available. And by typing your e-mail in, it also says you will be voting for your desire to buy the product and therefore give the movie a better chance of being distributed in the US.
