any news on a potential sequel?

Unfortunately as much as I loved Dog Soldiers and would love to see a sequel, especially if Cooper makes a return, I have a feeling in my gut that it's probably one of those sequels that the director or producer or somebody will mention in interviews years apart by saying "Yeah, I still want to do a sequel" or "I've got a script idea I'm still working on" but nothing really comes of it.

I looked on Wikipedia to see what the sequel's status was and I saw they originally wanted to do Dog Soldiers: Fresh Meat, which would feature Americans and some interesting werewolf concepts, but nothing ever came of it. Then they announced a miniseries called Dog Soldiers: Legacy which even got a teaser, but nothing came of that. Then they announced Dog Soldiers: Fresh Meat yet again, this time with an additional sequel and a prequel planned too, yet nothing came of it.

This is particularly unusual since the Dog Soldiers sequel seems to get mentioned sparingly, and when it is it always has this huge fantastic hook to get people interested. Then the dates come and go with absolutely no mention or reckoning or they simply disappear. The fact that development on a sequel is following this pattern is what really makes me think a sequel to Dog Soldiers may never happen, as much as I want it to.

Can't be too careful with all those weirdos running around.
