I am not an expert on this but I know Cowboy Bebop is a kind of manga cartoon that features a skinny, black, afro wearing cool dude who is a kung fu vigilante type.
Very trendy anime and is usually on over here (UK) in the early hours of the morning for drunk students to watch when they get in from the clubs!
