One of the best ive seen in a long time!

This movie was amazing. I thoguht the whole thing was put together so well. I know there are things here and there which make it hisotricly not accurate but if u get by those pettie things its really a well done movie. The acting is top notch. Easily one of Kurt Russel's best performance and to me atleast his best. The rest of the cast was good as well but Kurt seemed to rise above the rest. Ving was under used a bit id say but when he was on he was a presence, very stong and meant business. Kurt's partner was very good as well. So was van meters character. He was very well done. The movie felt very realistic i mean sure there probly not many people like that doing the corrupt things they were but thats movies its the way its meant to be entertaining. Though i wouldnt be suprised if there were people like that or worse. But for a movie it felt very real. The emotion the actors put into it made it feel very real. The action was just right not to little to leave u bored but not to much to over do it. This is the best cop movie i have ever seen. The shots they did for this movie were incredible. Goin to some of the worst areas of LA was a risky move but boy did it pay off it gave the movie so much more. The riot scenes were unbelievable. It looked very similar to the real thing back in 1992. I was kinda hoping they would do more on that they did such a good job with it i wanted to see more but maybe another movie will pick that up and focus mroe on it. It was such a sad time a real tragedy wat happened in LA at that time and i tihnk they really captured it and it blew me away. The music in this movie is perfect. It doesnt draw ur attention away to much from the movie but it is pronounced enough to make u notice. And it works so damn well with the scenes they shot every scene had perfect music with it. My favorite part of that movie was when Kurt's character is finished talkin to ving and he starts walkin to the edge of the driveway at the end of the movie. They have the music going with the piano and as Kurt stops and showing his face as he looks over the LA skyline and then the mixture of piano, guitar, and trumpet come together as they pan over the LA skyline as it burns. Then when they go back to Kurts face and he looks at what he and those guys have done and the regret and sorrow in his face tells it all. Then they close out with the burnin skyline. I think that was so perrectly shot. I know the skyline burnin was digitaly done but it still looked damn good i dont care if it was it looked good enough. With the music and kurts emotion i think that was one of the most perfect and emotional shots ive seen in a movie in a long time if not ever. it sure got me emotionally cause i remember how horrifying those riots where and they captured the city so well in the end. I thought Kurts character was good enough for an oscar nod and if u get past those inconsistancies i think this movies in general is worthy of an oscar ro some form of award cause i think it was a very important film. Thats wat i thought of it though. I know some people will bash me for it and i understand why some people dont like it and some of ur points are vaild. So please dont attack me for my feelings of it lol.

u lear so much about this event.. 54 people died in those riots and close to 3000 injured and over 1 billion dollars in damage.. never before could u see a major city in north america blanketed in smoke and being devistated by such acts of violence..let us not forget wat happened as another riot is very possible and maybe just around the corner and likely to be more deadly.. i just hope the police are more serious about it next time around and dont let it get as far!!

I feel exactly the same as you!! I LOVE Dark Blue, and it is the best movie in my collection. Dark Blue is my favourite movie - and it came out in Denmark on MY BIRTHDAY. That's a VERY wierd coinsidence - if it is a coinsidence at all. I don't know... Maybe. You're absolutly right, that the whole thing is put together so well, well not 100% right, because everything in Dark Blue is put together PERFECTLY. I enjoy every second, every half second of Dark Blue. The cast is amazing, Kurt Russel's best performance ever!! And the rapper Kurupt's performance is suprisingly convincing too, since he's not an actor. This is one of the greatest casts ever - Kurt Russel, Scott Speedman, Brendan Gleeson, Michael Michele, Dash Mihok, Kurupt, Lolita Davidovich, Ving Rhames, and then of course Master P, who delivers a magnificent performance. The music is perfect, the dialouge is perfect... you name it. EVERYTHING. And just like you say, it seems SO real. I was only 2 years old, during the L.A. riots, but I've seen them later... It was horrible. And the riot-scenes in Dark Blue is just like the real thing. And also the music works perfect together with the scenes. Like you say: "It doesnt draw ur attention away to much from the movie but it is pronounced enough to make u notice. And it works so damn well with the scenes they shot every scene had perfect music with it." That is exactly right. I can't tell you how much I love this movie... There's no wors for it. Dark Blue has got everything - EVERYTHING. Dark Blue sould have been awarded with several Oscars, if you ask me. Kurt Russel is just outstanding. He should have won an Oscar... HE DEFINENTLY SHOULD HAVE. HE DERSERVES IT SO MUCH. Especially his performance in one of the last scenes - his speech. He is definently one of the best actors EVER. But let's not forget the rest of the cast - They're outstanding and fantastic as well. If you don't see Dark Blue... I swear... If you don't see it, you'll regret it SO god damn much!!! BUY IT NOW!!!!!!
