Alonzo V.S (Training Day) V,S Eldon (Dark Blue) V.S Ludlow (Streetkings)

First off I'd like to say I am looking at this completely unbiased. I LOVE all these actors, Denzel has to be the most talented out of all of em, but Kurt might edge it for being my fav, Keanu has suprised me with his roles now that he has matured, so they are all great IMO.
Now, down to their characters.

Gun Fighters: Eldon and Ludlow were both stated as being gunfighters, having "Notches on their belt" I'm not saying Alonzo wasn't by ANY means but he is more of a

Ghetto Fighter: He knows how to use his weaponry, but he was clearly raised in thug-life and uses his weapons more to that style. Which, honestly is less effective many of the times.

Hand-to-hand: Denzel is one mean street fighter, probably having survived countless ones. I'd give him the edge, only slightly though. Kurt and Reeves's characters are both white cops who gotta go knee-deep in the worst parts of the areas where their skin puts giant targets on their heads. Reeves is an alcoholic like Kurt but is in better shape and is a fiercer fighter, so I edge him over Kurt in this, Alonzo is a toss-up.

Overall I'd have to give this to detective Ludlow in the end. The man has come out of some REALLY close situations, he'd let Alonzo and Russel's tempers flare and get them gattin' on each other, then he'd smoothly come in blasting. That scene where he used the flashlight to blind then shoot was brilliant. I compared all these characters since they were all made by the same writer David Ayer (at least to some extent) and you can see the style in em all.

What do y'all think? Street Kings, Training Day, and Dark Blue, are three of my fav movies. Definitly the best cop movies for our era. Let me know y'alls opinion. Sorry about any spelling or grammer errors, I'm really loopy from the morphine from my surgery lol.

I know this post is now a year old, but it was an interesting take on three familiar character types. Thanks for the read.

That's a tough one. That 45 must be standard issue for the LAPD because all three of them used it.

LAPD SIS uses. That is what Alonzo and Ludlow had, it is their standard issue. It is a Kimber TLE 2 (Tactical Law Enforcement) .45. It holds 7+1 standard, ussualy they get WIlson Combat clips that use 8+1. These guys ussualy don't need more then that, as you can see by the way Ludlow was trained.

I absolutely love and adore this gun, I got it for a realyl good price, 600 bucks, usually they go for 900+

It comes with tritium nightsights, a match grade steel. Some officers get the nickeplated coating, mine is the black matte finish, they use some kind of electoraylisis (SP) to plate it on.

I also have a Springfield XDm .40, it holds 16+1 of .40 cal, is very nasty, has a tacrail. It beat-out the Glock .40s in many many reviews, is newely developed. Many cops are trying to switch to this gun. It is currently illegal in California.

If anyone is interested in buying a .45 and has some cash, I'd highly recommend the Kimber TLE2. It beat Colt, Springfield, Glock, HK, annd...crap, forgot the other. Point is it beat some of the biggest names out there for their 1911s. I'm not saying they are inferior weaps, just stating the facts.

PS: I'm getting my .45 out of hawk tomrrow...yaaay.

PPS: One last thing, two days after buying this Kimber, about a 6 months ago, someone broke into my place with a weapon, I shot them twice, once in the hip, the other in the abdomen. Hollow-pointed Speer Gold Dot rounds, this gun saved my life and the life of my dad. The Springfield XDm is also very good, and cheaper, initially. I have it next to me right now, locked and loaded :D
