I gotta say i love Adult Swim, but MAN this show is just horrible. It makes no sense and isnt even funny. I think i'd rather watch the original. Hell i think i'd rather watch the Golden Girls. THIS SHOW BLOWS!!

I think people don't get it at first. I didn't get it when i first saw it. Usually you expect shows to have a clear plot that logically progresses, but this show is different. The writer(s) are completely free to do whatever they want and with their creative freedom they make it a litte odd and confusing. But that's why its so great; you get to see into the writer's imagination virtually without any limits put on by the network. It is a very silly show, but i really like it, but i can see how people can hate it.

Im pretty sure that you're almost completely alone about vacation, and i'm not big on tinfins but most people that i've watched it with that aren't that big on sealab like it. And waking quinn is great, though not for everybody

shareWell, I don't like the show either, and I'd suspect that I'm fairly well versed in this show's style of humor. I love Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Brak Show, Harvey Birdman, and Space Ghost: Coast to Coast, and I like some of the 'Baby' versions of old Hannah-Barbara superhero they run during commercials inbetween shows on Adult Swim.
Those shows do have a plot, it's just that it veers off into completely bizarre directions and tends to not serve any other purpose than for the writers to have something to plaster their hilarious moments of weirdness onto.
So because of this, I don't know why I dislike Sealab, other than I think it's just incredibly tasteless. And I really don't mind tasteless humor that much.
So yeah, I just don't like it.
Granted, I do like some episodes (my favorite is in season one, where Murphy hires an interior decorator, and inludes a cameo from my favorite AS show, ATHF), but most of them are pretty bad.
So that's all I have to say. Bye now!

I don't know how you can like Aqua-teen hungerforce and not Sealab its like almost the same "tasteless" humor
sharei love sealab though i just like aqua teen. they are pretty different - this may be met with a lot of disagreement but i think that the sealab characters have a bit more depth, like some of the best sealab episodes just focus on a single character and all the humor relates to how they are, while in aqua teen there are new villains or characters on the show much more often. I don't really know what i'm trying to say really but i just like the interactions between the main characters more in sealab

I give credit to those responsible for taking a boring 7os cartoon and bringing it back to adult swim and making it pretty dam funny. The Bizzaro episode is my favorite.

shareWell, this lame thread is going to haunt Wes for all eternity...the first three season could be labeled as the best comedy cartoon in history and Capt. Murphy as the best cartoon character ever. It was never the same after Murphy was gone and then the show sank for me... with only a few funny episodes later in the series.
