I read that Universal are holding the rights to the name so the chances of making one are slim. Just put not in front of everything

As of November 2015, Redman said the sequel will be released in 2017.
There hasn't been any news since then. What's his excuse this time? I just hope they're keeping it quiet until they actually finish the production. I remember Method Man saying he doesn't want to jinx it. So there hasn't been as much hype as "Friday 4".
