I may be a bit confused about how the alarm system works, but he sets it when he leaves the house before he comes back to turn off the coffee pot. Slim is in the house and moving around. She also does this at night when she picks the front door lock and enters the house. I'm wondering why the alarm hasn't gone off once during these times.
shareThe same way people with pets set the alarm; most systems have an option..."home" or "away" I think they are called (don't quote me on that one). You hit home and the system alerts only if one of the outer doors or windows is breached, you hit away and if anything moves in the house or breaches from the exterior and the system alerts.
I guess Mitch just prefers the "home" option.
Not sure if all companies have these options or if there are small details that are different...but I'm guessing most companies have this type of standard.
