WTH is a 'divine animal right'?
such bad writing makes me cringe.
shareThe phrase means that you have a God-given right, not constrained by useless legal crap, to protect yourself and your children. I couldn't agree more. I think it's a great line. Sums up the entire movie.
"Level head? I think mine's level, and yours is the one things would roll off of."
Really memorable line and empowering quote. Sorry you couldn't write it first!

I agree. The line stuck out as nonsense to me, too. They're talking about her right to defend herself. It's a human right or an animal instinct. Depending on your religion it might even be a divine right (though Christianity is more about turning the other cheek).
But a "divine animal right"?? That's just gibberish.
Yea it was like the writers thought it was so chilling and good with the way they worked it in and set her up to say it. Having Slim say "repeat what you said to me again" and Juliette Lewis trying to sound all serious lol.
