Should have got a white woman to do the part = More Believable!!

I laugh when I saw a Hispanic woman getting beat on because they are usually the aggressors (just ask any Hispanic man) Moreover, a white man at that really made me laugh.

While your post screams stereotype and bad 1 at that, I couldn't help but wonder why not get a couple cousins from the Brooklyn Block? As the show went on she seemed rather estranged from Latino culture. Her father appeared white. She had very little support system, her daughter looked all white, which could happen, and only an elderly lawyer type and fake Sensi are her 2 black allies. Had she had a sista girl girlfriend, movie over. I even expected her trailer trashy co waitress to go off a little more. We both look too much into a movie that jumped the shark the 2nd half.

To be fair, being Latino doesn't automatically imply/mean that they have or even know anyone who could help them.
And domestic violence happens to all races/nationalities. It would be difficult for any woman in Slim's circumstances.

Finally someone who knows what they are talking about. He was right when he said he would overpower her any time, she had no safety. He did get what was coming to him in the end though

Seriously? I hate when people use stereotypes to lump a bunch of people together who are unique individuals and share only an ethnicity or a culture. Everyone is different and abuse unfortunately spans across all ethnicities and races. I'm Irish/Native American so I must be an alcoholic, right?

He had an enormous size and strength advantage over her. Even if she was tougher verbally, she was no match for him physically. Most Hispanic men aren't super tall, so they don't have that much of a size advantage over a typical Hispanic woman.

Timothy, she was "supposed" to be training in Krav Maga. The same offense that the Israeli soldiers are taught in which size doesn't matter as women serve beside men. The elite Mossad agents were highly trained in Krav. You can try a YouTube check but the two times I've seen it depicted properly in media is on Burn Notice and in The Debt with Helen Mirren. I wish you could see it in real life so you could really grasp how a small 110lb person can take down a 200 lb man. I am referring to hand to hand combat, not "self-defence". It is a remarkable art.
