I really liked this movie!

This movie, in my opinion, was actually very good. It's a great drama. The story of Ned Kelly is put into film perfectly. Orlando Bloom really stood out in this performance-wise. It really shows how much people strive to get things right, to not be blamed for something they didn't do. The ending was harrowingly moving, especcaily the scene when the pub was burning and Steve and Dan shot themselves. I actually really liked it and didn't think of it as a bad film at all.

I thought it was well done, my expectations weren't very high but this far outdid what I had expected. I thought the part with Steve and Dan shooting themselves was so emotional. I normally don't cry when I watch movies...I think its been at least 4 or 5 years since I cried when I saw a movie and Ned Kelly made me ball my eyes out at the end!

This movie was brilliant. I absolutely loved evey minute of it. I had second thoughts about renting it when i heard it got bad reviews but then i realized something...most of the time, if a movie is given bad reviews by the critics, it usually means normal human beings will enjoy it. and behold, i was right. The acting was wonderful and I agree about Orlando's performance. It was amazing. I'm adding this movie to my DVD collection.
By the way, if you haven't already watch the extras about Ned Kelly in popular culture, it was interesting

I love smiling, it's my favorite!

this movie actually made me cry in the part where dan and steve shoot themselves because they all went through so much just to save ned's mum and they didn't even achieve it and they died. it would have been better if they'd just left it and let ned's mum do her 3 years. the end was so sad but this is a very moving story and ned is portrayed so well by Heath Ledger, joe by Orlando Bloom etc. Gregor Jordan did a fantastic job with this movie!
