How did the movie go overseas??

I live in Australia and was bought up where the real events took place. there were mixed feelings about the movie here, because it didnt go with history much, which was dissapointing. what most people dont like is that ned kelly was shown as a good guy, against the bad guys in the police. if you go down to Glenrowan, (where they capture him) you'll find that it is exactly the opposite. he wasnt a noble vigilante, he was a criminal. he may have been treated unfairly but that was no reason for his actions.

what i want to know is how the movie did overseas? like, did people think it was rubbish? its very confusing because lots of Aussies dont really like aussie movies that much. i just wanted to know if the feeling was mutual.

Well I'm from Canada and I quite liked the movie. Of course that's without me really knowing anything about the legend. I dont know if anybody over here can really say whether it's rubbish or not because we don't know the story. All we can base our opinions on are what the movie is like...not the plot. After watching the movie though I was really intrigued to read more about Ned Kelly. I can't remember what book I read (it wasn't Our Sunshine) but I found it generally followed the same themes as the movie.

DID ANYONE ELSE CRY THEIR HEART OUT TO TEARS WHEN STEVE AND DAN SHOT THEMSELVES???WOW...WHAT A PERFORMANCE....I LOVED HOW THEY MADE IT LOOK LIKE THEY WERE REALLY SCARED AND HAD NO WAY OUT AND WERE SOBBING...TOTALLY A GR8 MOVIE!

Bloomdepp Luver....I am soooooooo sorry, my lil cousin got into my password and wrote all this *beep* the movie spoiler and the rude comment, I am really sorry, I totally will kick the *beep* outta her, it is not in me to swear at people and spoil movies......sorry again!
