What happened to Ned's mum ?

I know his mum got arrested, but i dont remember it mentioned what happened to her after that, did she get released from prison or did she stay in there ?

Did i miss that somewhere ?.

Although it wasn't mentioned in the film, I think she spent a couple of years in jail.

Wikipedia says she lived long enough to have her picture taken in a motorcar...
