Fire Truck Mission
I just beat the game 100% because I never have done it before. If anyone has beat it 100%, does anyone agree with me that the Fire Truck Mission on Shoreside Vale is the most annoying piece of bull fuhk?

shareI was just glad that the Firetruck mission didn't have to be done consecutively. I seem to recall using some Unique Jump locations as part of my routes through Shoreside Vale.

Firefighter is a piece of cake...the game does not put a penalty on cancelling. Start it...and if the burning vehicle is too far away (or on opposite "halves" of Shoreside), cancel and restart it. Other advantages is that the burning vehicle never requires you to chase down occupants (as in successive games)...and the fire is put out by just a mere squirt of the water cannon. Given that you can legally "cheat" in Vigilante (pausing the game while the suspect is near you will cause him to exit his vehicle...and you can just run him over)...the only emergency vehicle mission that can be classified as difficult is Paramedic...and even that one is only easier in Vice City (the flat terrain in VC virtually removes the chances of rolling the ambulance). Paramedic is also the only one that needs to be completed to level 12, but you can complete it at any of the 3 islands. Pick your poison: A lot of hills in Portland, more awarded time in Staunton, and only a maso would choose Shoreside.
shareIll do the firefighter mission all day over the darn paramedic one. First, firefighter..you can do 3, get out, come back, do another 3, etc. Also, it was a good chance to find the Ice cream truck (I wish in the mission I scream or we, when you gotta jack the ice cream van, I shoulda got one like that but the firefighter missions I ran into one, you can actually sometimes run into a few rare cars.
But the paramedic is torture. You can have 1 guy left to pick up, tip it, done, you lose, start over. I remember Shoreside, the mission where you gotta collect those 15-20 things...offroad missions (grr, I forgot the name of it, I got 100 percent but man it was awhile ago) I remember people said those were harder, and were they maybe the 2nd hardest, yes, difference is...if I fail I waste 1-2 mins tops...you fail the paramedic, you can basically be out of 1-2 hours or more of time.
