Since 2002, I've been playing this game. I get 100%, then I do it all over again. It's fun; I like it.
But the radio is annoying. Rockstar didn't want to pay out any royalties and what not, so they made up all of their own original material. It used to be somewhat entertaining, but I've been really disliking it lately.
I'm glad they solved at error for the GTA games that came out after this 2001 release.

Actually, Rockstar only produced the tracks for Head Radio and Lips 106.
Double Cleff FM is made up of opera tracks. K-Jah is made up of tracks from Scientist, from the album "Scientist Rids The World Of The Evil Curse Of The Vampires". Rise FM is made up of dance tracks from artists such as Neo. Game FM is made up of hip-hop tracks from relatively underground artists, such as Ilacoin, Agallah, and JoJo Pellegrino. MSX FM is, again, made up of underground breakbeats and garage artists. Flashback FM is made up of songs from the film Scarface, all songs were written by Giorgio Moroder.
if you have the PC version then you can just have your own radio station and listen to whatever you place in the MP3 folder. which is handy because the radio can become rather repetitive after a while.
I agree with you. The radio in GTA does get kinda boring after awhile. Especially when you're doing the missions. It sucks that it only has a few songs per radio station. They should have more!
I actually loved all of the songs. Nothing's wrong with not having every song sung by a well known singer. everything on the radio was entertaining to me.
I liked the soundtrack/playlist for every station. But a few times I did get a headache because of the repetition. The stations should have had more songs. Other than that, this game is still awesome to me. I can't get enough of the GTA series.
they tried to cram as much as they could in, rockstar did an amazing feat and anyone that complains about lack of songs should be reminded that this was the first time anything like this was done and they might have been listening to a generic soundtrack rather than radio stations, so maybe after multiple plays yeh turn the radio off and listen to your own music but dont criticise the Rockstar effort
and tumbleweed, you dont really have a clue what you are talking do you, so dont comment
I like some of the music but absolutely hate the commercials, especially the one on Flashback FM that always plays before the song "Push it to the Limit". It makes absolutely no sense. And those "Pogo Monkey" commercials get on my nerves too.

That's basically the point, the commercials are satirical.
I can understand, just because there are only a handful of songs on each station, still as someone else said, for the time it was impressive what they had! I mean again it was the first attempt of any of it';s kind. I guess the only thing I wish, you could make your own playlist (Even tho it might be a little messed up because some songs interupted by DJs). If you could make your own playlists you could add your favorite songs to a generic playlist and that be your radio station. I still love the (not including chatterbox, love it, but im talking music wise) the shootaz Grand theft auto song and game station, and some from flashback. I also, everytime I hear the scary movies beat, think we might get some Eminem on GTA. (too bad they could get scary movies with Eminem and Royce)
