it's called "In Sachen Kaminski"

So it's basically the same thing as "I am Sam", only much more credible (authentic case in Germany in 2002). Just letting everybody know.

There is another good German movie Jenseits der Stille (1996) dealing with a similar issue, deaf-mute parents and their unimpaired daughter who helps translating for them.
