Somebody told me that "I am Sam" was also filmed in New Zealand. Does any one know which scene and where?

Do you know where the shooting location was in New Zealand? Imdb does not list New Zealand as a shooting location as below:

I don't think that's true at all. Google shows nothing. It was quite a low-budget film, filming in New Zealand would only make sense if it was a big-budget production (I know it's cheaper but it'd have to be a lot cheaper to balance out the cost of flying people there and putting them up). Especially considering most of it was obviously filmed in Los Angeles, I don't think it'd make sense to do some shots in New Zealand.

I am one of the main investors in this movie. According to the contracts, parts should have been filmed in NZ.

I would be interested to find out the real truth.
