enough with the "never go full retard"!!!!!

This is an absolutely fantastic movie and Sean Penn gives a powerful performance as a believable retarded adult. He is literally playing an adult with the mental capacity of an eight year old if I remember correctly...HOW ELSE IS HE SUPPOSED TO ACT?

He did an amazing job but then one day...Tropic Thunder (Three Amigos ripoff) says one quoatable line about not acting "full retard" as a way to explain why everyone hated Ben's (don't remember his characters name) movie where he played a retarded person.
Now, everyone has a problem with I Am Sam, because of a single JOKE from a movie that Ben Stiller should be getting sued for.

Anyways, I just think its ridiculous.

It's just like when Amazing Spider-man came out, everyone on the bandwagon can't enjoy something new without trashing the old ("tobey cried too much...waaaaah"

I'm just not a fan of people who have no complaints about someone's performance, but as soon as someone else or some new movie comes out, they all jump on the hipster badwagon: "I've been saying 'so and so' from 'some movie' was terrible ever since I saw it!"

People loved Tobey as Spider-man until the new movie...

And as far as I know, most people loved this movie before Tropic Thunder.

Penn got a Oscar Nom for crying out loud!!!
