Yes, I think they were. They had all signs and gimmicks. But none of the charm.

Same as Galatea was an homage to Power Girl and the mini-group of Dr Fate, Aquaman, Hawkgirl, Amazo and Solomon Grundy was an homage to Marvel's Defenders.
