I noticed that the villains in Justice League: Doom were all survivors of the official DCAU. Cheetah and Star Sapphire both survived the events of "Alive!" (http://dcanimated.wikia.com/wiki/Alive!#Trivia). We know Bane survived into the Batman Beyond era, and Vandal Savage presumably survived in the present of "Hereafter". Metallo was taken into custody in "Chaos at the Earth's Core", and we didn't see Mirror Master die.
It makes me wonder if an early draft of the Justice League: Doom script was actually set in the DCAU continuity. Does anyone know if that was the case?
The only early draft script that has been confirmed was Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths. That was originally drafted as a story to tell between the seasons of Justice League and Justice League Unlimited to show how the League developed its teleporters, increased its members, and how Wonder Woman got her invisible jet.

Thanks for the reply. I never saw "Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths". I saw the promo for it with footage of Billy Baldwin in the recording studio playing Batman (badly IMO) and said, "I'll pass."
Yesterday, I finished my rewatch of the DCAU (which took months) starting with B:TAS and ending with JLU (excluding "Static Shock" and "The Zeta Project" which I don't own and have no interest in). I capped it with "Justice League: Doom" even though it's not official DCAU.
B:TAS, S:TAS (if you count "World's Finest"), TNBA, and BB all had at least one movie. JL/JLU should have had one, and "Justice League: Doom" is probably the closest thing we're going to get. Plotwise, "Doom" is a logical development from the Cadmus arc, and 5 out of 7 original hero voices is a pretty good ratio.

Billy Baldwin was a pretty weak Batman, but the rest of the movie is really solid and one of the stronger entries. I like it even better than Doom, which just ham fists Cyborg into the plot.
If anything, Crisis on Two Earths is worth it for the performance of James Woods as Owlman alone.

Batman is my favorite DC character, and any movie with bad Batman casting already has two strikes against it IMO. I'm not saying cast Kevin Conroy every time either. I thought Bruce Greenwood was terrific in Under the Red Hood, and that Jeremy Sisto was excellent in New Frontier. I did get Year One (as a gift, I refused to buy it) despite Ben McKenzie's flat, monotone delivery because I love that graphic novel.

If I get a chance to rent it sometime I will.
