I never was a fan of her flying (I'm not talking about her plane). She seems so much more interesting without the ability of flight. To me, her flight seems like an unnatural to her character.

Gliding depends on wind currents whereas flying you could do independent of the wind.Sooooooo...using comic book/cartoon logic...as long as she has use of her "The Gods"-given powers to always have control of wind currents she can always be in some state of being supported by the air...that's analogous to gliding.
It's been a while since I've read WW's book. She has the ability to control the wind? She couldn't back when I was reading her regularly.

I prefer she flies. It just looks better.....and another thing. She is sort of a member of the holy trinity of the iconic DC Comics players...so unless you seriously augment her abilities/usage of "The Gods" given powers, she would seem so much less spectacular/mighty if she weren't also flying like Superman. She would kind of be like she was in those old Superfriends cartoons; some chick who was just on par with Aquaman .

Errr didn't she take out like 5 other League females simultaneously without breaking a sweat in that one ep? (Hawkgirl, Vixen, Huntress, Black Canary, and Fire, I think it was?)
I think you're right, come to think of it. Still, to take them all on at once with little problem shows you what she can do.

Gross oversimplification. Especially, since character wise and personality wise, they're not alike.
Plus, she was carved from clay. She already comes from super-powers.
Yeah I prefer she has the ability of flight too. The invisible jet thing was always a little silly.

She's much better with the ability to fly. Makes for much better fight scenes. The Invisible Jet always felt too cheesy.
