What a terrific example of great television

Great for kids, a lot of hidden jokes for adults.
I don't know if it can ever get this good again.

It's definitely one of the greatest shows, animated or otherwise, of all time. Not every episode is perfect, but the best ones are on a par with the very best of what's out there in terms of writing, characters, action, and story. I'd stack the CADMUS arc against the best plot arcs from Mad Men, Battlestar Galactica, Breaking Bad, and Game of Thrones.

Happily, we live in an age of great TV for all ages. While JLU is definitely among the best of the best, there are lots of other animated shows, currently and in recent years, that offer similar quality of animation and storytelling:

Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra
Futurama
The Venture Bros. (though this one's not remotely for kids)
Cowboy Bebop
Adventure Time
Daria
Samurai Jack

I totally agree about the Cadmus arc, it's just brilliant, I hope they do something like that in the live action movie coming up.

Young Justice was good but not THAT good...Season 2 got kind of mediocre with the constant focus on Blue Beetle.

That's the DCAU for you. The standard for great superhero television. More mature than half the shows on TV, too.

It was a great series. I just hate how Cartoon Network mistreated it.

I like that CN didn't really pay attention to it. It helped them get away with a lot more than they probably could've if someone had been paying close attention.
