Or he'd get hit and taken out temporarily our out completely, when he didn't need to ever get hit -- he could have phased so the punches went threw him. The same with when he got hit so hard he would go flying backwards and hit something like a building; he could have phased threw a lot of those things rather than taking the impact.
They also did something similar to Superman. Take a look at the hits and explosions he took in the "Superman: The Animated Series" (same Superman universe) with stride, here he gets some whimpy explosion and it's like, "AGH!" and he gets blown back or so forth.
Or in the reverse, how Batman and the Flash -- both humans, with the Flash having the special power to run fast, but yet they take impacts and hits that shoudl have crippled or even killed them, repeatedly.

Totally agree with you! Yes, they did make Superman overly vulnerable in "Superman: TAS". But I g uess I can understand why they did this, to reduce the need to create overly powerful villains and also not utilize Kryptonite in every episode. But still it was annoying to see Superman take so much beating!
And you are totally right about Batman and Flash, especially the latter. I was always surprised how he could survive some of the blows that he took from powerful villains as well as explosions.

I'm more surprised at Batman. The fact that he could flip Kalibak was ludicrous.
The Flash was understandable. The speedforce offers him protection.
