I love DC, Justice League and most of the characters, but this is so annoying lol. Superman getting knocked out aby every power beam, electric shock, every little rocket, doesn't use his powers logically... To the point of ridicule.
Superman is always ridiculously powered. He was weakened for the show but at least it meant that we needed a justice League, otherwise he'd be a one man show
Superman had some questionable power ups and power downs in his 1996 solo show as well, it's always been a problem for writers, your options seem to be either power him down (especially in ensemble projects) or give him more powerful enemies to fight, or some combination of both. It is very frustrating.
I agree. It seemed really ridiculous that almost anything seemed to hurt him. Like in the battle world episode when the gladiator guy kept beating him up, also that the atlantis under sea people put him in chains, but were they made of kryptonite no they were not. In the new adventures of Louis and Clark(best version of superman in my opinion) superman was a lot less extremely invincible than he is in other versions but he still seemed believable as superman, extremely difficult to beat.
Nah, he is more powerful. As he once said in an episode, he can take hit after hit after hit, but the others can't, so they should let him get those hits.
But also, I think it should be pointed out that not every single time was taken down or hurt by something in the JL series, was necessarily weakening him -- some were viable, including the virus/toxin (what ever it was) that only affected men (apparently Kryptonian physiology is close enough -- guess the writers never even considered that, just take all men down); A.M.A.Z.O. who was able to not only duplicate Superman's strengths, but also surpass them; and of course some of the powerful blasts that knocked him back momentarily befuddled him, 'cause while he may be able to take those blasts, he still has a brain, eyes and equilibrium.
If anything, the real problem with the series was the extreme damaged they caused during battles. Not only during the battles, but on purpose when they'd use stuff against opponents. The damaged caused ranges in the hundreds of millions of dollars, if not higher. Some cities would be financially desimated after the damaged they cuased. Some buildings would be structurally unsounds and have to be demolished. Sorry, but there's no way Wayne Enterprises makes the money m=necessary to back-door repay it. There were a lot of little inconsistancies and little problems all over the series.

Yeah, much as I love the show they didn't seem to worry too much about collateral damage! Maybe if they ask nicely Marvel will let them sign on for the Sokovia Accords!

That's bullsh!t, if there's any team that doesn't give a sh!t about collateral damage it's the fvcking X-MEN, at least in the Justice League episode"Clash" where Superman and Captain Marvel tore it up in Luther's Metropolis, after the fight was over Superman offered that the Justice League would pay for the damage which is more than I can say about the the X-MEN. Another example would be in the animated movie Superman vs. the Elite were in the final battle Superman pleds with the Elite to take the battle to an isolated area to avoid collateral damage which they do, so the Justice League absolutely does take collateral damage into consideration and if the League is in a situation where collateral damage is unavoidable at least they offer to pay for the damage.
