It's not a bad movie at all. I actually enjoyed this. The only thing I would say that is bad would be that I've seen better movies. And I have. It's so cheesy!
shareNo, it wasn't that bad. I didn't thought it was marvelous or fantastic, but it wasn't outright awful either.
shareThe best part was when Britney gave up her dream of being a doctor to pursue a career as a sex symbol.
shareIt's (unfortunately) got a very low rating because of the knee-jerk "Ewww, a Britney Spears vehicle just to promote one of her songs? Must be HORRIBLE!" reactions. I gave it a fair shot, and it's actually a great movie. Good enough to earn a spot in my (long) favorites list, helped greatly by the fact that its genre (road/buddy movie) is among my favorites. But more than that, I find it very touching & believable.
Britney did a surprisingly good and sincere job as an actress, to be honest. And if you forget about her "pop princess"-ness or whatever you may not exactly like very much about her, and pretend she's just any other actress playing the role...it shouldn't be too hard to like the movie.
"I'm Not a Girl (Not Yet a Woman)" IS a very good song, too. It's got to be her most profound.
If Brit had tried to do her own version of "Spice World" (which I ADORE) by starring in a silly movie about her own stardom and such, I'd have less respect. ;p

It really wasn't. I think it's mainly cause Britney got a lot of hate back in those days so people hate that this film was written for her and she starred in it. If it starred anyone else then people would have been fine with it.
"I'd rather lose for what I am than win for what I ain't"
Kacey Musgraves "Pageant Material"
It's also her concept :) The writer of the movie is also Shonda Rhimes (how to get away with murder, Scandal, Grey's Anatomy) :). Cast is good also, Along with Britney, Dan Aykroyd, Kim Cattrall, Zoe Saldana, Justin Long, Taryn Manning (who still to this day defends Britney when it comes to how genuine and sweet she is as does Zoe).
Dark Willow
The Slayer thing really isn't about the violence. It's about the powershare
It wasn't that bad per se, but I think if another actress was cast in it, it wouldn't have even made it to theatres. It's just an average cliche road trip kind of movie.

Consider the daffodil. And while you're doing that I'll be over here looking through your stuff.
