IMDB regularly scrubs threads with no recent posts. I forget the exact timing, but it is maybe 6 months or so.

Because IMDb had no sense, hence the existence of this new Movie Chat site.
Shame on IMDb for scrubbing the boards and ridding the internet of so much enjoyable info!

I think all the info and movie trivia is still on the site, but the forums are gone.

They can store it, but it's all the keeping it online and pulling it back up that is the costly part.

If it is collectible you can probably find it somewhere, it is the search, retrieval cost and access or purchase price that is the question. But with the Internet one would think that it is simpler than ever to find out,
