which characters in the hours are gay or bi?

I just know that there are a lot of those in the hours.

Probably easier to answer which are not.

They put that content in the movie because in Virginia Wolff's novel-Mrs.Dalloway (which is what the movie is very loosely based on) there is mention of homosexual leanings. Read the Wikipedia article on Mrs. Dalloway and you'll understand why certain things are in the movie.

Just about everyone. Clarissa, Sally, Richard, Louis, and probably Laura and Kitty. The filmmakers/novelist wanted to be oh-so-progressive by making every single character gay.
