How did Pinhead manage to orchestrate it so that the box wound up in Trevor's possession? I thought he was bound inside the box until he was summoned?

Why, after totally freaking out, did Kirsty open the box, knowing full well what would happen?

Finally, why did Pinhead find it so "interesting" that Kirsty wanted to strike a deal, when in Hellbound he told her "no more deals"?

Oh yeah, and whilst I think about it, can anyone give me the exact quote from the beginning? The one from Dante's Inferno.

Cheers.

...And for the record, I think this is an excellent installment in the series.

"How did Pinhead manage to orchestrate it so that the box wound up in Trevor's possession? I thought he was bound inside the box until he was summoned?"

He didn't. But once Trevor had the Box Hell had some schemes in place. Note, Pinhead isn't INSIDE the Box, he's In Hell. The Box is just the key.

"Why, after totally freaking out, did Kirsty open the box, knowing full well what would happen?"

She was at the end of her leash. Trevor didn't know she had history with it but she knew. She knew what would happen and what he wanted to happen to her. After everythign she'd been through, losing her whole family and so on, to be betrayed by her husband was the last straw. She opened the Box fully intending to give him to the Cenobites.

"Finally, why did Pinhead find it so "interesting" that Kirsty wanted to strike a deal, when in Hellbound he told her "no more deals"?"

Times change. This isn't a deal like that time, this is Kirsty offering to gather souls for the Box, innocent people essentially. Pinhead is interested in seeing Kirsty corrupted.

As for the quote, I'd have to double check on ym DVD which I don't have right now.

Why did Kirsty freak out about the box right when she opened it? She couldn't have known for sure that her husband intended for it to kill her. He could've picked it up at an antique store for all she knew.

And it also appeared that she opened the box and a bright light was emitted from it while her husband was in the room. Why didn't the husband see the light or see her disappear? And why did he take a road trip with her right afterwards? Didn't they even discuss the incident?

Cenobites can alter reality somewhat. From Trevor's point of view she could have opened the Box and nothing appeared to happen. He would then be annoyed and decide he'd have to sweet talk his wife. That';s why in the car he says to her he thought things were getting better.

I think Pinhead indeed accept the deal because he saw she was anger for revenge, she was not just doing that to save her life, she actually open it in purpose to have pinhead make him suffer...
