I don't agree that he's the "worst actor ever." But he definitely needs work. He's way too cocky. In the commentary on the DVD, he talks about how he "knows he's going to have a good scene if his hair looks good." He needs to get over himself. However, Poolhall Junkies is still my second favorite movie of all time. (I said MY FAVORITE, not the second "greatest" movie of all time)

I don't think so either. He seemed pretty natural to me too. Don't you get the feeling he was basically playing himself here? I think the commentary also says that it's loosely based on his younger years. I also remember him saying that they were trying to cast Johnny but couldn't really find anyone to fit the bill so he took the reins himself.

Oh and I'm pretty sure that hair comment was a joke. I'm not trying to say he's a saint or anything... I'm sure the guy is at least somewhat cocky in real life but he's also pretty comedic.
