Does anybody know the young actor is who played Young Johnny in the opening scene where he's hustling the old guy before main titles? For a brief amount of screen time, this kid was outstanding and I would say gave one of the best performances in the film. However, he doesn't seem to be credited up top on the cast list.
shareI agree with you wholeheartedly. I truly enjoyed that opening scene and I thought the kid was quite good, but he was not hustling Rags, Rags was hustling him. In the credits of the movie there is a listing for a Nathan Stevens as Kid. I'm not entirely sure, but I think that's him.
shareactually as far as playing goes he wasn't great. The shots were obviously set up, and they were all straight and very simple. Mars' shots on the other hand, were incredible. He actually has a lot of talent and plays the part of a table hustler perfectly.
But as far as acting goes, he was good. I wish he would have had a bigger part. And honestly, he looked nothing like Johnny...
