Problems (probably addressed already)

So I watched this when it came out in the theaters. I thought, oh boy, the stereotypical, Hollywood's interpretation of a pool hustler.

I watched it again last night. Pool nerds like me, or players that have played 15 years or more, there's alot of name references, the overuse of bank shots, the 'ripoff' type scenes from Color of Money and the Hustler, all the negatives, I still thought it was mindless entertainment, again, especailly for pool enthusiasts.

But the one thing I couldn't stand, well 2, if Ricky Schroeder was a 13th ranked pro, Mars Callahan looks likea decent player, and they must have had some sponsership/endorsement with Southwest, why make the seasoned 13th ranked pro shoot with a disgusting fiberglass/graphite cue?

But the most annoying part besides the 500,000 bank shots was Ricky's bridge/follow through. I'm sure they had a technical advisor on set, heck, Mike Massey was in the movie, couldn't they give him lessons/advice?

Mike Sigel made Tom Crusie look like he knew how to shoot, decent bridge, stroke, follow through. Ricky's shooting scenes (acting was decent, imo) were really unbearable.

Also shortly after it came out, Ricky ('Rick') was on Leno or Conan or something, and they asked so do you shoot in real life? His response, 'oh yeah, I grew up on a pool table'. I've never seen an actor say they can't/don't know how to shoot. Sorry Rick, it looks like you don't know how to shoot.
