CHRISTOPHER WALKEN

Ill be honest Christopher Walken was first noticed by me in Poolhall Junkies and after looking at all of his work I realize thatt shouldnt be. I think he is an amazing actor and i have grown to really appreciate him. However does anyone kno of any other good movies he was in? I dont wanna kno about any love stories or musicals, i like man movies. I already saw Man on Fire which had Walken in it and i have now seen that movie about 15 times (and it still is good, by the way). So can anyone help me out with other good movies Walken was in?

Walken is good in any movie, even if the rest of it sucks. This movie for example, or "Envy". That movie sucked but Walken was great. Just go to his page and take your pick. The Deer Hunter, The Dead Zone, Suicide Kings, you name it. He's never bad.

True Romance, as mentioned above, is amazing. And don't let the title fool ya. It's about a comic book store employee who helps his call girl wife escape from her pimp. Quentin Tarantino wrote it so you know it's great.
But the best movie with Walken in the lead role that comes to mind is King of New York. He's really, really good in that one. Also, lots of shootouts and drugs and stuff to keep guys who like "man" movies happy.

Check out his appearances on SNL. There is a DVD of just his contributions which include "The Continental." Believe it or not, his appearance in "Joe Dirt" make it worth watching about half of that movie.

i totally agree with durden and taylor

I think christopher walken is one of the greatest actors of our time and that we'll ever see and the one movie that really defined his career i believe would have to be THE KING OF NEW YORK poster of this thread if you just read this i want you to go out and rent that movie right away its a 10 out of 10 easily

and as for Joe Dirt i thought christopher walken was the only reason worth watchin that entire movie

I agreed with the above there are three prophecy movies and he is great in all of them but I just recently saw a movie called around the bend with him in it that I thought was really well done

Don't forget 'McBain' in which Walken plays a Nam veteran who singlehandedly overthrows the government of Colombia, meng. About 15 minutes in he delivers an AWESOME monologue about going to Woodstock. Seeing is believing. Also in 'Homeboy' he's got a great standup routine in which he also sings and dances. Later on in the movie he explains to Mickey Rourke how the dinosaurs became extinct."and that's a true story".

I beg to differ. The best Walken performance was in "At Close Range".

I absolutely agree!
Christopher was phenomenal in At Close Range!!!!
Dangerous, charming, thief, father, brother, clever and very very bad!!!!

This is my definate fav movie!

Eventhoug I also love the (first three) Prophecy movies with Christopher in them.

My List of man-movies-with-Christopher-in-it would be:
At Close Range : action/drama
The Funeral: action/drama (of an Italian movie with very dark performances)
The Deerhunter : war/drama
Pulp Fiction: action (brilliant)
True Romance: action (another Quiten T movie)
Day of Atonement: war
Communion: sci-fi
Homeboy: action (boxing movie)
McBain: action
Braintorm:sci-fi
Homeboy : action (boxing movie)
Scam: action (simple but entertaining fun)
Suicide Kings: action sort of.... fun to watch!

My favorite CW movie is Suicide Kings. Although his 1 scene with Dennis Hopper in True Romance was one of the best in cinema history.
