Anybody who has seen "Festen", arguably the best Danish film for at least a decade, will look forward to the release of 'It's all about love'. The most talented Danish film maker at present, Thomas Vinterberg, has directed and with the cast of Claire Danes and Joaquin Phoenix looks to convince even the last doubters..
"De største helte" is really a really good comedy. "Drengen der gik baglæns" is a very good short film too. I haven't seen "It's all about love" yet but I'm looking forward to do so.
It's all about love is a decent film. Not great, not bad. The problem is that the movies mixes too much. It's a love story, a thriller, a sci-fi movie etc etc. All in all, it just evolves into a bit of a mess.
'I could'nt understand why there was 3 elenas and why sean penn didn't leave the airplane...'
You obviously wasn't paying much attention. If you actually listened to the dialogue you would have realised that Sean Penn couldn't leave the plane because he'd taken an overdose of a substance used to prevent his fear of flying. He said something like "I took an overdose and now I can't stop flying." As for the 3 (actually 4) Elenas that was the whole point - she was being 'cloned' (although they were real people) so her management team could still make a living from her as she was forced to retire due to her weak heart. I saw the movie last night as part of the London Film Festival and am still deciding whether I enjoyed it or not.
I saw the film at the London Film Festival last night as well and I have decided that I liked it. It has something of the Mullholland Drive about it. You're right about why Sean Penn can't leave the plane. He also says in his last bit that there's snow all over the world so the plane he is in can't land. Ever.
It's all about love really sucks. Nothing in this film is credible, whether it is the universe, the characters, the "plot". I was anxious to see it, and it wasn't just a disappointement, but a very bad film.
The worst film of the year with the Matrix Reloaded.
"Madame is the greatest star of them all." -Max Von Mayerling
Ahhh... This movie could have been great. The sceens are so beautifull and the music to. But halfway it becomes illogical, even for a farytale. It starts out with a dreamy David Lynch feel to it, but the second half seems rushed. Mabye they had production problems or something.
When (and where) did you see this movie? I just found the website for the movie and I really want to see it. Has it been released in theaters or video?
