Are you talking about Paul Auster? If you are I agree, I love his writing especially The Music of Chance. And Lulu on the Bridge would totally fit in with the films above. I'm planning on renting The Center of the World real soon. Osamu Murakami is it? I'm not familiar with him at all. Can you recommend a film for me? Thanks!
I would also like to add some films I've seen by Claude Lelouch. They're similar although not as similar as the the group above, but if you like those films you should like these too!
Toute Une Vie 1974 Les Miserables 1995 Chance or Coincidence 1996 And Now Ladies And Gentleman 2002

yes, i meant paul auster. i've seen the movies he wrote but i'm much more fascinated by his novels. if you're a reader i may recommend 'moon palace', 'leviathan' and 'oracle night'. the other writer i was talking about is haruki murakami. i don't know if there are any movies written by him or adaptioned from his novels. 'south of the border, west of the sun' and 'sputnik sweetheart' are so great.
Thanks! I'll check them out! Yeah right now I'm about to read Thomas Mann's Death In Venice and Jean-Paul Sartre's Nausea. I'm trying to decide which one I'll start reading first!
