Vinterburg spent 2.5 yrs writing the script? I want the 104 mins back!

OK, Let's be clear...I like what some people would consider art house films. I like strange movies that engage me and make me think. I like good cinematography. I like smart dialogue.

But most of all I like a complete movie!

In a nutshell the third act of this just fell apart. If you want to write a movie using symbolism and alogories don't try to make it a futuristic thriller. The first act made the movie out to be a mystery, the second act brought the mystery into focus and had the potential to bring it to a satisfying conclusion. The third act was from a totally different film.

I'm sure there are people here who will claim I'm too thick to understand it. I'm sure there are people who will try to explain it to me.

I'm absolutely sure this movie just lost it's way. Shame really I found the first two acts very enjoyable (though I must admit I struggled to relate to Danes character a bit, whenever I see her on screen I just think 'which emotion is she trying to act now?').
