Was this show a girlie Version of boy meets world?

I kinda see a lot of similarities. Only difference is that the plot is from a perspective of a bunch of tween girls instead of boys.

It's probably closer to compare it to Leave It To Beaver, only from a female perspective.

I'd compare it more to a female, live action "Doug". On BMW, Corey wasn't narrating anything. Doug, like Lizzie, is the narrator, and shares his inner monologue (whatwith his writing in his journal), much like Lizzie narrates, and shares her inner thoughts (whatwith 'Cartoon Lizzie').
