what some people dont realise is that theres hints that show the alien used robert porters body as a tool
when he says "now that you found robert porter. take good care of him"
hes basically saying "when i leave. this body will still be here. the body of robert porter"
Yeah i agree.I'm watching it right now and just saw that scene. There is much debate about whether he is indeed an alien..I lean more towards the fact that he is..There are so many things that suggest he is..I think Prot used Robert Porter's body and left it when that beam of light hit and took Bess with him..That's what i think..Great movie that makes you think!
shareIt's obvious he is an alien. He did everything he said he would, and gave every hint possible. If the moviemaker wanted us to doubt he is not alien, he would have let Bess in the hospital.

Prot is indeed an extraterrestrial who happened occupy the body of Robert Porter
Of course he would say this. Prot believes he is leaving. Whether Prot is actually an alien or a persona, he 100% believes he is leaving so of course he'd say this. It doesn't prove anything. The movie is open to interpretation.
As you said, there are "hints". Hints, not proof. And for every hint that he's an alien, there's a hint that he's not.
