The Station
Small point, but at the start of the film when Prot shows up, is that Grand Central Station in NY?
I ask because, I was once viewing a classic black and white print of GCS taken many decades ago, where the light was shining diagonally through the windows. I remember hearing or reading a comment that "this doesn't happen anymore since all of the sky-scrapers went up".
But in this scene from ~1990, there are light beams. Either way, it wouldn't be a leap to suggest that they would be artificially produced--they would do that rather than have production be tied to the cycle of the sun. But if it is NY GCS, it would be inaccurate (and so be mentioned in the trivia section for this film).
